Collection: Philip Clark
Philip Clark is the author of Dave Brubeck: A Life in Time and a music and culture journalist who has written for many leading publications including The Wire, Gramophone, Jazzwise, and The Spectator. He currently writes for the Guardian, New York Review of Books, and Prospect. He trained as a composer but has recently preferred to produce sounds of his own, playing piano as part of a weekly free improvisation collective. Clark lives in Oxford with his wife, two children, two cats, and more recorded music than he can ever listen to.
